A big thank you to the bunnies who have posted this to Facebook and twitter and an I'm sorry to a other bunnies who have written to me via email since the first post. I don't have a good reason for not staying in touch. Depression can just suck the energy out of you and you act the dick to people reaching out to you.

Hey, I've been volunteering recently with my local TNR group, and they provide exactly this kind of support to people like you, up to and including food and shelter provision. Have you talked with them more? The way it often works is that they will offer a discounted rate at first, but if you can't afford that they help regardless. Can't speak to your local organization's policies of course. Maybe a Detroit org can help if not? I bet it's a longshot given the international boundary, but maybe.
