Now, by the time I was a teenager, Dr. Demento was on the radio every Sunday Night and I was building a collection of goofy records that I was able to use at my college radio station to do a "Demento Clone Show". But that's another (LONG) story.

I've got an odd soft spot for Convoy and I think it was from hearing it as a kid so when I some how ended up with a copy there was a strange recognition.

I didn't hear MacArthur Park until a bizarre incident where I was marooned and I couldn't quite understand what I was hearing. Cake in the rain? Is this a real song? It was the kind of bewilderment that explodes into laughter. I still have no context for the song. It exists in a pocket limbo.
